Everything started with Minority Report. This was the film that popularized the gesture recognition and interaction with holographic screens.

The system lets users don a pair of reflective gloves and manipulate images projected on a panoramic screen. A mounted camera keeps track of hand movements and a computer interprets gestures."
Time Machine, Star Trek, The Island are also another futuristic films that developed the concept.
